Steve Swadell

Steve SwadellSteve Swadell acquired Rancho Bernardo Printing in the early 1980's. He studied Accounting and Marketing at San Diego State, working for a time at the Franchise Tax Board and a large Accounting firm. The printing industry was very familiar to him, so when the business opportunity opened up, it was a chance for him to put his efforts and learned skills into his own company. At the height of the economic boom, Steve had 25 employees, several offset presses, and a significant bindery department. Thirty years later, the scope of the business is scaled back, the methods have changed to meet shifting needs, but many customers have remained loyal for most of that period -- a testament to his integrity and business vision. Steve has recently taken steps to divest his ownership and turn the operations over to his bigger/younger brother.

Steve has a daughter, a son, and a daughter-in-law.
